This policy explains cancellations and refunds for advance payments made through Book the Wicket (https://bookthewicket.in).

1. Advance Payments

When a captain books a ground slot, an advance payment is collected to confirm the booking. This advance goes towards the total ground fee.

2. Cancellation by the Captain

• More than 24 hours before the slot: the advance is refundable, minus any non-refundable platform/convenience fee.
• Within 24 hours of the slot: the advance is generally non-refundable, as the slot was reserved and made unavailable to others.

3. Cancellation by the Ground Owner

If a ground owner cancels a confirmed booking (e.g., due to weather, maintenance, or unavailability), the captain is entitled to a full refund of the advance.

4. How Refunds Are Processed

• Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via our payment partner (Cashfree Payments).
• Refunds typically reflect within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, contact us through our Contact Us page with your booking details (ground, date, slot, and phone number used).

6. Disputes

For any payment dispute, please reach out to us first; we aim to resolve issues fairly and promptly.
